Honduras Jose Esteban Madrid *NEW*
Welcome to Honduras coffee season 2020, and what a stunner of a coffee to begin with. Jose Esteban is a new name in our lineup, and as we seek to build long term relationships with these Honduran farmers, we hope it will be many more years of roasting his coffees. While the state of the world kept us from visiting Honduras this year, we were still able to get access to the famed coffees of Santa Barbara mill, and the work of Bend Coffee and mill owner and organizer Benjamin Paz. These coffees are on the short list of best of Honduras, and we are honored to have gotten ahold of them.
We've often described coffees from this region as crushable, so silky and sweet you'll want to drink them all day long. This lot is no exception, yet it takes that sentiment further, with a pronounced concord grape acidity, and long floral aromatics like orange blossoms. These high notes are grounded with rich toasted hazelnut sweetness and a clean, crisp finish. We are delighted to offer this coffee, we're pretty sure you'll love it too.
